ABC; Name,Address Verification; Request for Additional Data

Address Verification
Address verification is handled by the ABC system.
This system only verifies the billing address specified in CHECKOUT with the real address of the cardholder.
So, for example, working with a USA credit card, you can’t enter the address of your drop, such a transaction is immediately blocked and the card is blocked too.
There are certain countries whose addresses the ABC system (USA) can check.
List of these countries: USA; Mexico; Australia; Brazil; New Zealand; England; Canada.
And the address of the holder, for example, in Italy, can't be verified by the system, so you can work with EU credit cards and enter drop billing immediately. (Guide: How to work with EU CC/CVV).
In the USA, you can buy gift cards, since buying a gift we write a real billing address.

Antifraud
Antifraud system - a group of filters configured depending on the preferences of the owners of online shops and payment systems, designed to identify and prevent fraudulent Internet transactions.
The antifraud’s task is to calculate the percentage probability of a fraudulent transaction called FraudScore (FS) based on the main risk factors (primary), as well as additional (secondary), constantly supplemented and improved factors.
For example, if the FS indicator is higher than the specified value of X, then "Alert" is triggered - an alert to block the operation or transfer to manual mode depending on the settings (request for scans, documents, call to the bank, transaction ID, etc...)
The antifraud monitoring of the average store monitors and assigns a transaction risk value (Risk Score) of 45 variables. The maximum value = 100, the minimum - 0. The number of orders in large stores reaches several thousand per minute. Everything is fully automated.
Key risk factors:

  1. IP range - checking the geographic location of the buyer, the IP holder and online store do not match the IP of the buyer.
  2. E-mail - previously used, used by free providers, not corresponding to the country of the holder.
  3. Anonymous proxies - if the buyer's IP is blacklisted.
  4. Countries with a high risk of fraud: Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Egypt, Indonesia, Lebanon, Macedonia - it is worth noting that each bank compiles a list of such countries based on their own experience, the experience of other banks, as well as recommendations world payment systems.
  5. The distance between the buyer's IP and delivery address
  6. Check by bin of bank - discrepancy between the IP country and the country of the issuing bank
  7. Check IP for publicity (open proxy).
  8. Check IP in spam list.
  9. Transaction rate. You cant pay with one card as the last time! If you pay 3 times in 10 minutes, then an alarm is automatically activated. You need to make 1 time payment, to pause after working with other cards, only then you can reuse it. At the same time, remember, as 18SGORG says, it is better to use 1 cc = 1 time

Additional cardholder data
Additionally, in order to make sure that you are actually the cardholder, you can request the following documents:

  • ID (it's like a passport)
  • Passport
  • Driver's license
  • Credit card statement from a bank account
  • Photo of the card that was paid (on one or both sides)

All this may ask you yourself with a card and passport in hand.
This is all done by people who can draw, but it makes sense to do this in cases where stuff is expensive. Usually the price is from $5-10 per document.
